Bypass MSN Messenger update

Windows XP

Today almost everyone I know got a forced update notification in Windows Live Messenger 8.5, which we did not like. If you too don’t want to ‘upgrade’ to the 9 version you can download my fix ( with instructions included ) here below :)

Download here.

Pardon the rapidshare link, but my host’s file limit is presuring me…

Windows Vista

You can use the same fix (here above) for Windows Vista/7, however, I must say in advance that some people have reported this not to work. Seeing as though I do not use Windows 7 (on purpose) I will not devote any time to this, unless I decide to actually use it; i wouldn’t count on it. One “John Dough” (24.85.70.246) listed the some of the instructions I’ve added in the text file of this fix’s download, but those instructions alone didn’t work either. For now: try to use this fix and follow the instructions in the text file, if it doesn’t work I suggest you make a cup of coffee and make a Windows 7 fix for this (if anyone sends one I’ll gladly list it here).
